Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Columbus, OH, to patrol airport areas and protect travelers, staff, and facilities. The role requires a valid driver’s license and strong customer service.

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, roadways, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas and verify credentials; report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and effectively; notify appropriate personnel.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs; communicate observations to site leadership.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $25.30 / Hour

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, roadways, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders according to established protocols.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and relevant personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
