Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed in West Jefferson, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution center, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service while reporting observations and assisting with site procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and document entries, exits, and relevant security-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by observing warehouse and shipping operations, reporting policy violations, and assisting with emergency response procedures as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
