Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer in West Jefferson, OH. You will monitor access points, patrol the facility, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a caring culture. Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at a retail distribution center.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles when applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols through the facility and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and document activity per site procedures.
• Help maintain an orderly environment and assist with emergency procedures as directed.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and document entries, exits, and relevant security-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by observing warehouse and shipping operations, reporting policy violations, and assisting with emergency response procedures as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
