Job summary

Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) is seeking a full-time unarmed Security Officer to maintain safety at the mosque, school, and community center in Raleigh, NC.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on IAR property, serving staff, students, volunteers, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong English language skills, written and verbal.
• Professional, reliable, and dependable character.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the campus to prevent and detect intrusions; secure all access points including doors, windows, and gates.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout facilities.
• Monitor entry and exit of all personnel and visitors.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or unusual activity.
• Document daily activities, incidents, property damage, theft, unauthorized access, and security concerns in written reports.
• Call emergency services (911) when needed for fire, serious injury, or other emergencies.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed.
• Maintain order and protect property by circulating among staff, students, and visitors.
• Know and enforce IAR rules, regulations, and procedures; report infractions diplomatically.

# Security Officer (Full-Time, Unarmed)Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR)full-timeRaleigh, North Carolina, USAShare:## Job DescriptionThe Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) is seeking a Security Officer to maintain safety and security at their mosque, school, and community center, which serves over 3,000 congregants and is the largest mosque in the Carolinas.### Position OverviewThis full-time, unarmed security position is based on the IAR campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
