Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Verification in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally, and use technology to document security-related information. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, authorizations, and vehicle or delivery information in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records; issue and collect temporary access credentials as directed by site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, business operations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
