Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed TWIC Patrol in Jacksonville, FL. You will safeguard clients, perform armed patrols at utilities locations, verify credentials, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, contractors, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security‑related activities, and maintain professional communication with site contacts and emergency responders.
