Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Tech Company in Los Gatos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and production personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, studios, common areas, parking facilities, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
