Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol First Aid in San Jose, CA. The role involves safeguarding clients, patrolling assigned areas, and delivering exceptional customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications site.

Schedule includes multiple daytime shifts with weekend coverage; pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include 6 months security experience, HS diploma, and ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check and drug screen are required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment and communicating security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
