Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time - Swing Shift in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and personnel, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $25.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and daily activity records.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by providing directions, communicating site rules, and helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
