Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Response in Brooklyn, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor the shelter, deter incidents, support access control, and provide respectful service to residents, visitors, and staff.

This unarmed role requires a NY Security Guard License, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Schedule includes day and night shifts; pay is $18.87 per hour.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Response in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter incidents, support access control, and provide respectful customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. You will represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork, clear communication, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and resident activity, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and incidents to appropriate site personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
