Job summary

Allied Universal in Somerset, NJ is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol to monitor client locations, provide visible deterrence, and deliver excellent customer service. You will perform regular patrols, document observations, and respond to incidents while following site protocols.

Qualified candidates are 18+ (21+ if armed), have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background checks and drug screening. A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated interior spaces to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and help maintain compliance with visitor sign‑in, credential verification, and restricted‑area entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
