Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time in Olathe, KS to protect people and property at a logistics and distribution site.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, perform regular patrols, and respond calmly to incidents, while providing excellent customer service. Daytime schedule with the pay rate of $18.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control entry and exit for personnel, vehicles, trailers, and contractors in accordance with facility procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarm activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
