As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screener in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment by screening visitors and/or belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use strong communication and customer service skills to help deter incidents while following established procedures. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
