Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role at a healthcare location. You will monitor assigned areas, patrol the facility, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents while delivering courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

You will document observations and incidents, respond to alarms calmly, verify authorized access, and follow site-specific procedures.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas; verify authorized access per site procedures.
• Document observations and incidents and relay information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Pay Rate: $26.58 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with access concerns and reporting unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, as applicable, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
