Allied Universal in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Customer Assistance Patrol to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $23.00 per hour. The role includes fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and an Earn‑More, Claim‑A‑Shift program allowing schedule expansion across sites while maintaining part‑time hours.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment in line with laws.
• Background histories considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while performing security‑related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents and patrols.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate location personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with location policies, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
