Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Background-eligible with criminal histories under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency responders as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Operations in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with associates, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering reliable service, working collaboratively with your team, and acting with integrity in support of Allied Universal's caring culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
