Job summary

Allied Universal in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement) to protect clients at a logistics site. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, and provide outstanding customer service while adhering to site policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building interiors, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report damaged barriers, unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and other property-related conditions to appropriate personnel.

Job Schedule: Thur 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM; Fri 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM; Sat 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM; Sun 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:
