Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to work full time in Hagerstown, MD. You will screen, monitor access, and respond to incidents to maintain a secure environment across logistics and distribution sites.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A background drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry/exit points, package handling areas, and grounds for unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report observations through site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location and perimeter.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, including verifying identification, credentials, and authorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, package handling areas, and surrounding grounds for unusual activity, prohibited items, or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations through established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location and perimeter, as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
