Allied Universal, West Palm Beach, FL, is actively hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Screening Inspection. You will monitor access points, screen personnel and visitors, and maintain a secure environment for operations at a logistics and distribution location.

Role requires at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. A guard card is preferred, and age requirements apply for armed/unarmed positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, vehicles, and deliveries entering and leaving the facility.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols of loading areas, vehicle yards, docks, and perimeters; document observations.

Pay Rate: $15.68 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, vehicle yards, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
