Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Glenshaw, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including education. As a Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, visitors, and families while maintaining a professional, approachable presence. You will manage visitor access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at the front desk.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate school offices or locations.
• Monitor access to the building, maintain visitor logs, and communicate visitor activity or concerns to designated school personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Answer phones, provide general information, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
