Job summary

Allied Universal, De Soto, KS, is hiring a Security Officer – Full Time Roaming Patrol. You will monitor facilities, conduct patrols, assist employees and visitors, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Position pays $22.28 per hour with a consistent Tue-Sat evening schedule. The role requires a background check and drug screening where permitted by law, plus licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by enforcing site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity or violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue – 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Wed – 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Thur – 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Fri – 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Sat – 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, including office areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
