Job summary

Allied Universal in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Route Patrol Driver to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain visibility, and deliver excellent customer service while responding to security needs.

In this unarmed patrol role, you’ll combine driving with proactive observation, report incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or hazards.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations with reports.
• Assist with directions and respond to inquiries to create a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Full Time Route Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Pay Rate: $18.55 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.


• Monitor access points, observe activity within the property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.


• Support a welcoming environment by providing directions, assisting with customer inquiries, and communicating professionally with property representatives and local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
