Job summary

Allied Universal, Hawaii's security provider, is seeking a Security Officer for the Honolulu area to perform unarmed patrols at a commercial real estate location. You will provide tenant and visitor service, monitor access, and document observations while following post orders and site policies.

The role offers full-time hours with a pay rate of $21.75 per hour, a schedule from Monday to Sunday 08:00–16:00, and opportunities for training and career growth within Allied Universal’s trusted safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established post orders.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner.
