Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer at a cosmetics logistics site in Somerset, NJ. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor entry, and provide excellent service to clients, drivers, and staff.

This full-time role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to respond to alarms per site procedures. Training is provided; CPR and badge experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• License requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a front desk within a logistics location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor visitor, employee, and delivery activity; verify credentials; issue badges or passes; and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Answer and direct telephone calls, provide site information, and communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and authorized vendors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-related activity in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
