Job summary

Allied Universal in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Security Officer Front Desk Registration to welcome visitors, control access, and maintain a secure environment at a technology/media location.

You will provide exceptional customer service, manage visitor logs, and respond calmly to incidents following established procedures; prior security experience and a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front-desk policies.
• Manage front-desk access activities by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation while communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
