Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in New Castle, DE. The role focuses on safeguarding clients, patrolling loading areas and perimeters, and maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The position requires a high school diploma, 18+ age, and successful background/drug screening in compliance with laws. A valid driver’s license may be required for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter of a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
