Job summary

Allied Universal in Markham, IL is seeking a Security Officer for full-time patrol reporting. You will protect clients across multiple industries, conduct routine patrols, deter unauthorized access, and maintain clear incident reports while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, basic computer use, and compliance with background and drug-screen checks. This driving position emphasizes safety, reliability, and community protection.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; direct visitors and contractors to appropriate locations and maintain required access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Tue 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Wed 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Thur 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
