Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Observation in Richmond, VA. You will monitor and safeguard client sites, deter incidents, and provide customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct patrols, verify credentials, respond to alarms, and complete reports, with emphasis on safety, professionalism, and teamwork within Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the financial institution location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
