Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and the public while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct routine and random foot and vehicle patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening and access-control procedures; maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, public service partners, and leadership regarding incidents and needs.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Tue 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and access-control procedures while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, public service partners, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
