Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in Shepherdsville, KY. You will patrol facilities, deter incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to alarms and incidents at a chemical/petrochemical site.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and background/drug screening as per policy. Nightly shifts are included and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required by policy.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and follow site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, suspicious activity, and other critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct routine and random unarmed patrols of buildings, loading areas, parking areas, and restricted locations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain visitor records.
• Prepare clear, accurate patrol/incident reports and communicate findings to supervision.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, suspicious activity, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and restricted-access locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required visitor records, and help support compliance with site entry requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrol observations, incidents, access activity, and security-related concerns, and communicate findings to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
