Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver) in Florham Park, NJ. You will provide frontline security, deter incidents through presence, and deliver customer service to patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting.

The role requires patrolling facilities, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents with professionalism. A valid driver’s license is required, CPR is preferred, and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required; drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and assist with medical emergencies or disruptive behavior as needed.
• Conduct routine unarmed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening and adherence to access procedures.
• Document observations and incidents in accordance with reporting requirements.

As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical emergencies, visitor concerns, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, waiting areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directional support, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
