Allied Universal in New Castle, DE is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Coverage) to monitor and safeguard clients in healthcare settings and beyond. You will patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires lifting up to 20 lbs, 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background checks and drug screening.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a behavioral healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
