Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badge Verification in Wadsworth, OH to protect our clients across utility sites. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism.

You will use strong customer service and communication skills to report observations and respond to incidents, while maintaining a visible, welcoming presence and adhering to site procedures and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and document entries, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
