• Maintain daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

• Tue 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
• Wed 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
• Thur 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
• Fri 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
