Job summary

Allied Universal in Sanford, NC, is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol). You will monitor manufacturing and industrial locations, provide customer service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Position type: Full Time. Pay rate: $11.00 per hour. Schedule includes multiple day shifts. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; background check and drug screen per policy; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures and emergency plans.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and deter unauthorized entry.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions per site reporting procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Sanford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
