Job summary

Allied Universal in Independence, KY is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol to protect clients at a busy logistics location. You will monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond to routine concerns with integrity.

Your duties include unarmed patrols of perimeters, parking areas, loading docks, and entry points, plus delivering outstanding customer service and clear communications to employees, visitors, and drivers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly; follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the distribution location including perimeters, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and access points.
• Monitor entry/exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel per site requirements.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including building perimeters, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and access points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
