Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Tablet Reporting to monitor and safeguard clients across commercial real estate locations. You will maintain a visible presence, support access control, and provide excellent customer service while working with a reliable Allied Universal team.

You will work a Full Time schedule with afternoon/evening shifts and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required, where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply in some states.
• Driver’s license required for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff following site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document observations per site protocol.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity.
• Prepare accurate incident and patrol reports for leadership and management.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Tablet Reporting in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while collaborating with a reliable, agile, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property management personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
