Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Badge Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will welcome tenants and visitors, support badge and access control processes, and provide professional customer service. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report observations, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.


• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding site concerns and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
