As a Security Officer Full Time - Overnights in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, process authorized entries and exits, and maintain visitor and vehicle access records.


• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, reporting unusual activity, and escalating access concerns according to site procedures.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
