Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Axis, AL. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and provide exceptional service while upholding safety and integrity.

This unarmed patrol position requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license for driving roles. Pay rate is $16.50/hour with a full-time schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills and other critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain documentation.
• Report hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Patrol in Axis, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable, and team-focused culture built on integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
