Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Overnight Unarmed Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will safeguard clients, perform routine patrols of commercial real estate, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, preparing incident reports, and coordinating with management and responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial real estate common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
