Allied Universal in Summit, NJ is seeking an experienced Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) to safeguard a commercial real estate location. You will drive patrols, conduct foot checks, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while providing excellent tenant and visitor service.

Role is full-time with a pay rate of $21.65 per hour. Requires at least one year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and management by following site procedures and emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building, parking, docks, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; coordinate with management and responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate changes during shifts.

As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol Driver in Summit, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and property perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the location; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and/or emergency responders when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
