Allied Universal is seeking a Dispatch Communications Driver in Carmel, IN. This full-time role involves monitoring alarms, coordinating communications, and supporting rapid response to security-related concerns at a utilities location.

You will provide excellent customer service while maintaining safety and compliance. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in security or a college degree, 21+ years old, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor alarms and dispatch communications, document activity, and relay information calmly to staff.
• Respond to incidents and service calls by coordinating communication and gathering details for timely action.
• Conduct regular and random patrols and deter unauthorized activity around the site.
• Prepare logs, incident reports, and dispatch records; communicate professionally with staff, visitors, contractors, and public agencies.

• Tue 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a utility operations location.
• Monitor alarms, communications systems, and/or incoming reports from a dispatch post, documenting activity and relaying information to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations by coordinating communication, gathering relevant details, and supporting timely site response actions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare accurate logs, incident reports, and/or dispatch records, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and public agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess 5 years of industrial security‑related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
