Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for Texas Health Stephenville. This role covers night shifts with full-time hours, focusing on patrols, access control, and incident reporting to maintain a safe hospital environment.

The candidate will need a HS diploma (associates degree preferred) and a valid Texas driver’s license. Specialized security credentials, TASER & crisis intervention training within set timeframes are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred in related field.
• 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred.
• Driver’s License Class C with insurability.
• CSO commissioned officer credentials Texas Level 2 and level 3 within specified timelines.
• TASER certification due within 60 days; CPI/ACPI training required within stated timeframes.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secure areas after hours.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides escorts to parking areas and detains individuals involved in criminal activity as needed.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies and citations.
• Fills out incident/offense reports and composes narratives.
• Directs others to facility locations and coordinates with police/fire personnel.
• Patrols interior and exterior campus and parking areas.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred

CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred

CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required

TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire

ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required

ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
• 2 years healthcare or education preferred
• Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
• TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

What You Will Do

• Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations.
• Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
• Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.
• Gives directions to areas of facility.
• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrols interior/perimeter of campus and parking.
