Job summary

Texas Health Stephenville is seeking a Security Officer to join our team on the night shift. You will patrol campus buildings and grounds, control access, escort individuals, and respond to incidents to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field preferred.
• 2 years healthcare or education preferred.
• Driver’s License Class C and insurable required.
• CSO – Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred; Level 3 within 60 days of hire required.
• TASER Certification within 60 days of hire and annual recertification required.
• CPI/ACPI Crisis Prevention Training required within specified timelines.
• Must complete a psychological evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies and citations.
• Pursues and detains individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Fills out incident/offense reports and composes narratives.
• Gives directions to areas of the facility.
• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrols interior and perimeter of campus and parking."

Education

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred
• 2 years healthcare or education preferred
• Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required and
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 preferred
• CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and
• TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training upon hire and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 6 months of hire required or
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire required and
• ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 12 months of hire required
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
