Allied Universal in Reston, VA, seeks a Healthcare Security Professional to support a hospital environment with routine patrols, access control, and exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring restricted areas, and communicating observations to leadership. Minimum 1 year of security experience and hospital vaccination compliance are required.

Competenze

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only if applicable.

Pay Rate: $22.71 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including patient or visitor concerns, disturbances, and medical or facility-related emergencies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Assist with access control activities, visitor management, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or unusual activity and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
