Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for a hospital site in Avon, OH. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents to keep patients, staff, and visitors safe.

This full-time role includes a consistent afternoon schedule, a driving-post element, and opportunities for training, growth, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to conduct routine and random unarmed patrols and respond to incidents calmly.
• Familiarity with hospital procedures and access control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and safety policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding areas.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and directing visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate security reports and communicate observations to site leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
