Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at Avon, OH, in a hospital setting. You will provide safe, courteous service to patients, visitors and staff while enforcing site security procedures.

This role emphasizes patrols, access control, and timely responses to incidents, emergencies, and routine events. A flexible schedule supports Daytime and Night shifts in a healthcare environment with a focus on a patient-centered, team-based approach.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
