Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Immunization Check In in Bronx, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients in a government healthcare location, monitor and patrol, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs.

Qualifications

• Hospital vaccines are required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
