Job summary

Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Healthcare Reception Support to provide reliable security and first‑line service in a healthcare setting.

This role offers fixed shift anchor hours with the option to pick up additional shifts, a pay rate of $17.87–$18.87 per hour, and a daytime schedule Tue 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM, designed for income stability and growth toward a full‑time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, assisting with directions and access‑control procedures as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, healthcare personnel, and Allied Universal supervision regarding incidents and/or unusual conditions.

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue07:30 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
